Job - When creating individual jobs, a division may be selected. job
Overhead - Overhead expenses and miscellaneous receipts can be applied to divisions at the time of entry.  Journal entries can adjust amounts between divisions.payable
Balance Sheet - If divisions are created after business has started, journal entries must be used to divide the balance sheet accounts.

Reporting with Divisional Accounting

All General Ledger Reports and some other reports throughout the system give the option of selecting a division or choosing "All Divisions".  As the description infers, "All Divisions" gives you the total of all activity regardless of division.
