Double-clicking the XETEX Xebra Client Logo will open the Login Screen. Enter the Operator Code and Password you’ve been given by your SA and click OK.
The first screen you see will be the Login Complete dialog. There are several functions that are accessible from this initial screen only. Once you navigate away from the Login Complete dialog you will be required to exit completely and log back in to access these options.
• | Under the menu Commands – |
o | Change Server Address & Port – There will already be a Primary IP and Port established for your system. You will unlikely have to edit any of the provided information unless instructed by a Xetex Technician. |
o | Change Password – Your SA provided you with an initial password to access your workstation but you now have the ability to change that password to something more private. Passwords may be up to 10 Characters/Alphanumeric, and does accept symbols and punctuation. We encourage you to change your password now to something more private. |
o | Tutorial – Your access to the fictitious Tutorial System. This system is identical to the live one in which you will be working but includes a variety of fictitious data used throughout the Tutorial sections in this manual. |
o | Reset Tutorial – There are several areas of the textbook that will ask you to exit the system and reset the tutorial. This will return all tutorial data back to its original form and may take several minutes. Once this is complete, any work done in the tutorial in the past is gone and cannot be retrieved. The tutorial will also automatically reset when the system is updated by your SA. This reset will occur the first time you attempt to enter the tutorial after the system update. |
Throughout the manual, tutorial examples will be included to further explain some topics. A Tutorial Alert will clearly mark each section.
The Tutorial will always open in the Order Entry Module regardless of your operator type. Remember, once you have entered the Tutorial System, all access is purely for educational purposes only and will have no effect on the live system.
IMPORTANT: If you look to the bottom right of the Order Entry Screen you will see the label “Tutorial”. This will be visible in all areas of the Tutorial system and is the indication that you may safely explore the system and work through the textbook without compromising critical, live data. If you do not see this label, immediately exit the system and re-enter the Tutorial before proceeding through the text. ONLY proceed if the Tutorial label is visible.
