Credit Card Processor Sharing |

Xebra will prevent more than one user from authorizing and settling transactions at the same time. This is to prevent attempted authorizations during settlement which could cause transactions to be unintentionally settled or worse erroneous transactions. Once the Settle Credit Card Payments window is displayed, nobody else will have access to this window and nobody else will be able to authorize credit cards as long as the settlement window is open. This guarantees that the settlement transaction list won't change while somebody is reviewing it before settlement. If credit card processing is in use and another operator tries to access it, they will see a message that indicates which operator is using it and the network computer name of the computer this operator is using. The specific parts of the system that are under this strict control are: Receivables > PowerPay > Settle Credit Card Payments - From the time that this menu is selected until the time that the Settle Credit Card Payments window is closed, credit card processing will be locked. If another user has locked credit card processing, you will get the Credit Card Processing Locked message if you try to access this menu. Receivables > PowerPay > Post Credit Card Payments > Post Payments - From the time that you press the Post Payments button on the Post Credit Card Payments window until the authorization results are received, credit card processing will be locked. If another user has locked credit card processing, you will get the Credit Card Processing Locked message if you try to press this button. Order Entry > View > Payment History > Post Credit Card Payment > OK - From the time that you press the OK button on the Transaction Information window until the authorization results are received, credit card processing will be locked. If another user has locked credit card processing, you will get the Credit Card Processing Locked message if you try to press this button. In the rare event that a Xebra Client application crashes while that client is locking credit card processing, credit card processing will remain locked until the same Xebra Client goes back in and accesses one of the three places where locking occurs. |
