Sales Representatives – This file identifies each sales representative and provides information for Xetex Xebra to use for calculating commissions. In addition to the standard data elements, there are a number of extra data elements that are not used in the standard Xebra system. These fields are available for use in custom commission reports.

Create a new Sales Representative Code (3 characters / alphanumeric) unique from existing codes provided in the list box. Click OK.
Complete the available fields for the Sales Reps basic personal information including full name, phone, fax and email.
Short Name – Typically just the first or last name of the Sales Rep used on internal reports.
Division – ONLY visible if Divisional Accounting has been enabled. Enter the appropriate division to which this Sales Rep is associated.
Base Commission Rate – The rate of commission to be applied to the Sales Rep's jobs. Represent the rate as a whole number without symbols.
Calculation Type – This important selection tells the commission calculation program how to calculate the commission amount.
oGross Margin Including Freight – Calculates the gross margin by subtracting the total cost of the job from the total sell price, excluding sales tax.
oGross Margin Excluding Freight – Excludes the cost and sell price for any item recognized as a freight charge.  This is dangerous when the freight sell price is added to the item price (FOB delivered).  The cost of the freight would be ignored, but the total sell price of the product, including the freight, would be included in the commission calculation.
oGross Margin Protect Freight – This calculation type ignores freight, unless the freight cost is higher than the freight price.  Freight costs in excess of the freight price are subtracted from the gross margin before the commission is calculated.
oGross Sale Less Freight - This calculation type is most often used for new Sales Reps and outside companies that are paid a fixed percentage of the sell price of each job.  The commission report layout changes when this selection is made to prevent the gross margin from showing.
Commission Rate Override - You can create conditions in which the commission rate for a sales rep would differ from the default rate.
Invoice Message – Each Sales Rep may be represented by a unique, personal message when invoicing a client. This data field is an option in the Invoice Document Editor.
