From Order Entry begin a new job.
• | Accept the default Job Number and keep the Job Type as Standard Job. |
• | Using the Find function, perform a search for the customer code of Dewey, Cheatum & Howe, P.C. and enter it into the Customer field. |
• | Confirm the Contact information. |
• | Change the Initial Job Status to Quote For Customer. Notice the data field prompts change with your choice. |
• | Enter T for today and Tab through the Quote Date field. |
• | Since the tournament is scheduled for sixty days from now, we want a due date for this job that will ensure the finished product is on time. Enter +55 and Tab. This will allow for a 5 day cushion in the event a problem should occur. |
• | Be sure Item Code is checked in the New Line Item Type dialog and select OK. |
• | In the Item Data dialog, begin typing A1190 for the Item Code. Once you see the code and its description, Titleist DT-90 Logo Golf Ball, appear in the drop down you can use your keyboard arrows to navigate to it and Enter to select it. Data will now be automatically populated from the main item record. Notice there are Ordering Instructions stating a minimum order of 12 dozen for custom logos. Since we need 40 dozen for this event, this will not be a problem but is always good to know and exactly the kind of special information Ordering Instructions should be used for. |
• | No additional Remarks need to be added to the description lines and the Product Category, Total as Freight, and Inventory Item fields are all accurate so we can simply select OK. |
