To load a previous job into the Order Entry window, you can use the job inquiry features, the Find Job command, or the Detailed Job Search command.
If you know the job number, invoice number, or other key numbers, the Find Job command is probably the easiest method.
If you don't know the key numbers for the previous job, a powerful option to use is the Detailed Job Search on the Order Entry window. With this you can find a job by any key words among other criteria.
In the above example, the Search Words were the only criteria used for the search. The match All Words option was checked and the Search Words were 'Golf Balls Walter Waterson'. 'Golf' and 'Balls' matched an item description on job 1045. 'Walter' and 'Waterson' matched the Contact on job 1045. Job 1045 was the only job that matched all of the Search Words. To load the job, you just select it from the Results list.
Once you have a previous job loaded in the Order Entry window, it's easy to repeat a job by using the Repeat This Job command.
The Repeat Job window lets you assign some of the fields that should be different on the new job rather than copied from the old job. You can choose whether or not to use the same prices and costs on the new job.
When you select OK on the Repeat Job window, the new job is created and displayed in the Order Entry window.
1. When a job is repeated using the Repeat This Job command, a job note is automatically added so that you will know where the job came from.
