Credit Card Processing |

Credit card processing in Xebra consists of two steps. First you authorize credit card transactions, then you settle all transactions that have been authorized. At the time a transaction is authorized, no money is actually transferred. A successful authorization means that the card has been approved for the transaction and the funds have been reserved on the account. When you settle the authorized transactions, the transactions are completed and the money is transferred to your bank account. PowerPay recommends that you settle all of the day's authorized transactions once at the end of the day. Limiting the frequency of settlements should lower your processing fees. Xebra will allow you to settle transactions as often as you like, but rather than settle transactions immediately as they are authorized, Xebra provides you with a way to settle multiple authorized transactions in a separate step. This gives you the flexibility to comply with PowerPay's recommended once daily settlement or to settle transactions as often as you need to. The authorization process will only reserve funds on the credit card account for a limited time. The time varies between credit card issuers. If you wait more than 24 hours to settle authorized transactions, then it is possible that settlement will fail. We highly recommend that you settle all authorized transactions within 24 hours. |
